Fine Art Photographer Spotlight: Cody Redmon

Cody Redmon, native and resident of Montana, lives in a photographer’s paradise. I take a quick look at his beautiful landscape photos.

Cody Redmon is lucky enough to live in the American west in what surely must be a photographer’s paradise. A native and resident of the state of Montana, his beautiful black and white images explore the regions’ wild and majestic  landscapes.

Take, for example, ‘Old Bull‘, a black and white study of a bison standing in the snow. Every detail is perfect, from the semi silhouetted pine trees on the horizon to the snow clumps clinging to the bull’s fur.

This is the wild west of childhood dreams and old movies and I love it!

Cody shoots in colour too but my personal preference is for his subtle, duotone black and white images. Take a look at his blog; each photo is accompanied by a brief explanation of the story behind the image.

Cody also sells his images through Wild West Photos - a stock library specialising in outdoor and adventure stock imagery. He also sells limited editions of some his prints - check out his website for full details.
